Neil Simpson Architects
We are skilled at analysing existing buildings and historic sites which allow us to prioritise efforts and harness the best of a given context. We acknowledge that a strategy of humility with new work may be appropriate in order to safeguard good existing buildings or sensitive sites. We believe there is much to be ‘borrowed’ from the past. We concentrate on the simplicity of space, proportion, light and materials. In both our new buildings and refurbishment work we aspire to instil delight in spaces for people to enjoy their lives.
We believe it is important to work at all scales, from bespoke furniture and modest interiors to crafted individual buildings and planning of new places. We apply appropriate skills and energies, always listening intently to the requirements of our clients.
